Access Control

What we do

Scaitec Security Solutions are experts in the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and training on a wide range of Access Control and door entry systems.

Our Access Management Systems are built to BS EN 50133 standard to help you control who can access your property, and are ideal for if you don’t have an intruder alarm, or for times where it may be switched off.

One of the main benefits of opting for a door access management system is that it eliminates the need for keys, which could get lost or in the wrong hands. If a key is lost, you may need to fully replace the locks on your doors to prevent unwanted access, which is inconvenient and can be costly. With access control solutions, depending on the type of system you opt for, the system can simply be reset or accounts can be deleted, making it much easier and less time consuming to fix.

Do you need to limit and control access to sensitive data and valuables within your home?

Whether it’s an office within your home with private data and documents in, or a room within your home that contains valuable items, sometimes it simply isn’t enough to have door access control on the outside of your property.

By opting for networked access management systems, you can control who can access each room in your home separately for increased security.

Different Systems and what they do

There are two main types of access control solutions depending on your requirements, each with their own benefits and features.

The two main system types are:

Networked Access Management Systems

  • These systems are for 2+ doors, with the level of software determining how many doors the system can support
  • They are ideal for using on several doors within your property, as well as preventing people getting into your properties grounds with barriers or gate automation features.
  • Integration with other security systems. For example, this could mean linking your access system with the fire system so that in the event of an emergency, doors can fail safe or fail secure where necessary.
  • Intuitive Access Control software means you can manage your buildings security from a central software platform. This means you can keep an eye on who’s in your property and can change access level at any time.

Standalone Access Control systems

  • Secure a single door typically the controller will be built into the reader. Options vary from keypad to MIFARE card, or a combination of the two.
  • This is the ideal solution if you are simply looking to secure a single door or a small number of doors. As there is no network between them, or central interface, installation costs are reduced.
  • These systems are programmed locally to the reader, meaning if you have two or three in your home, the details must be entered in multiple times. There is also no integration with other systems, such as ‘fail safe’ in the event of a fire.
  • We provide training and support to help you understand how to use the access control system within your home.
